Spring is in full swing!
Whether you are cleaning up the winter debris from the garden, landscaping your yard, or hiking through the forest, chances are you might be dealing with springtime allergies. Wearing a mask, work googles and gloves may help with yard work but what about when you are just walking about or venturing outdoors. Be prepared. Research the area your traveling to or working in and check the weather stats for what is traveling in the air. Is it an irritant such as pollen from trees, grasses, or mold, dust, smoke, etc. You can plan the best time for outdoor activities and the times to avoid the outdoors when the pollutants or irritants are the most active. So try and plan ahead. Then once your outdoor activities are over and your are back indoors, remove all clothing, shower including washing your hair and dress in clean clothing. This will prevent lingering pollen or other things to travel around your home. Invest in quality air purifiers and/or regularly maintain your air ducts and filtration systems. Breathe easy friends.
Some allergy suffers find using an air diffuser or essential oils helpful. Consult your PHP to see what might work best for you. Here are a few of my favorite seasonal formulations. Enjoy!
